Coir is a natural erosion control product made from coconut fibres designed for temporary (6 to 24 months) applications. The product is supported on both sides by a synthetic (photo-degradable) mesh. Coir erosion control blanket protects exposed slopes from loss of topsoil. It also greatly enhances seed and water retention allowing for faster growth.
